dc.description.abstract Power crises is now the talk of news channel in Pakistan. In current scenario; we are facing the worst shortfall of power in history of this country. With the advancement of technology, the concept of self-automation is rapidly increasing in major industries around the globe. It has overcome the factor of power losses, theft and ultimately reduces human effort. It has always been a difficult task to keep track of the billing especially when a lot of different devices are being used. The plugs present in the market are not smart enough to know when to draw the current into a circuit. Due to which short circuit occurs when we connect a higher load. This short circuit results in a greater power loss. To rectify this problem we have introduced a smart power plug to overcome these flaws. Smart Power plug is a device which monitors the consumption of power by the load at run time and also maintain its record over website. Owner of this device can monitor the power consumption through the website at their convenience. Smart power plug has the controlling ability that makes it more efficient and safe. When a short circuit occurs the smart power plug will break the circuit. Thus power loss can be eliminated. On the other hand it also provides protection to the load. This feature does not exist in the present plugs that are available in a market. en_US
