dc.description.abstract This project is about the blood group detection. But the good thing about the project is “this will detect blood group from an image”. Image processing is a very powerful tool in writing software of bio informatics systems. Most of the software was written using image processing techniques as sub system in the domain of bio informatics specifically in wet lab section. Especially where, we need to detect things by looking into them. Technicians in the labs detect blood group by looking at the reaction’s output of anti-serums and blood samples. So there was a possibility to detect blood group from an image. We are developing a system which will detect blood group from an image. The main objective of this project is to provide a fast solution of blood group detection especially in disaster management. System will need an image of a mixture of blood samples and anti serums as input. After this, it will perform some digital image processing techniques such as grayscale conversion, threshold-ing, Image fragmentation, Erosion and Dilation and counting white pixels to compute the blood group type. This system will be deployed on an android device to give fast hands on solution. en_US
