Biometric based Election System for Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry

Abstract

Biometric based election system for Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry; is an election software being built for the purpose of automating the manual election system and holding elections for the designated posts in Islamabad Chamber of Commerce. It results in paperless environment. Project is divided into two major parts which are administrative panel and client side. Most of the things such as election schedule, voter’s eligibility, nominee registration, symbol allocation, announcement of posts and result management are done on admin side. Voting takes place on client side whereas the result is stored on server. In addition to these features, Candidate’s Popularity and Total Turnout of the election are also included for the statistics of the elections. Finger print has been used for the verification of eligible voters to avoid duplicity of votes and any other kind of vote infringements.
