Abstract

The system named agricultural Farming Support Portal (FSP) aims to provide the necessary information required by the farmers: essential information from sowing till harvest including the weather information. The registered farmers will be able to get alerts on their cell phones as well. The novel factor of FSP is the discussion panel. The farmers can post their queries and can get multiple answers to it. The main objective of this project is to enrich the farmers with knowledge and remove the impediments of farming which are originated by lack of information. Farming Support Portal is a complete web portal for farmers been created through PHP using databases from which the information is being fetched to deduce results. The most important feature of Farming Support Portal is timely provision of the solutions of farming and crop related queries. This application is useful for all agricultural associated people because it provides an easy access and free consultancy.
