| dc.description.abstract | People now a days want everything to be done in a very fast and efficient way, everywhere time is very important and competitive. Smart phones have gained popularity because of its vast features. Many alerts and reminder applications exist in market and some traditional to do list and alarms are also used. Through current location reminder users will be able to set reminder at their current location with a defined radius, when user exits the set radius they get alerts. In desired location users can set reminders by marking multiple locations on Google map through drop pins and will get alerts when they reach in proximity of those locations. Proximity Analysis is an application in which user can get rid of their older list-to-do and reminders systems based on date and time. This location based reminder system using Google maps which give user freedom from setting date and time specifications. This reminder system is time independent, it allows to set reminders according to your current location (what to do when user changes current location) or reminders according to destination (what to do when user reaches their destination). This application works with GPS and Network Location Provider for access the user location information. In GPS location information comes from satellite base navigation system which are received by built in GPS receiver in android phones. On the other side Network Location Provider uses Wi-Fi or mobile data for accessing of location information. For better accuracy proximity radius is set for every location which defines a radius around the location. | en_US |
