dc.description.abstract Federally administered tribal area (FATA) has been unique since British rule in 1849. It is unique in the sense because this place is controlled directly by president in a state where there is parliamentary form of government. It has also unique strategic importance. It had remained as a background for mujahedeen during the Afghan war of 1980’s. After 9/11, this place is known as safe haven for terrorists and militant activities which kept the people away from the centre of attention. But, now the situation has compelled the decision makers to make some good policies for the development of this region because they can’t afford militant activities in FATA spreading across the country. en_US
