dc.description.abstract The well Pir Shah-01 is situated in Thatta District, Sindh, which geologically falls in Lower Indus basin. Due to extensive oil&gas exploration and exploitation the area has become distinctive amongst others. The lower Goru Play has been the main target for almost all the operators. The well is located to the most south eastern (Fig) part of Pakistan. The Nagar parker Granite in the extreme Southeastern corner of Pakistan is the exposed part of the Indian Craton. The area located to the west and northwest of Nagar Parker is the Tharparkar slope that dips westward and north westward and where Indus basin most prolific hydrocarbon bearing territory is located. en_US
