dc.description.abstract The basic objective of the study is to get preliminary understanding of the subsurface structural trend and stratigraphy of the cited area. Seismic data interpretation eventually resulted in outcomes as time and depth contour maps. Dina block is a part of Potwar sub-basin of the Upper Indus Basin of Pakistan. It is an anticlinal closure bounded by a Main Thrust Fault and its Back Thrust Fault that were generated as a result of collision of the Indian and the Eurasian Plates. Seismic lines 942-DNA-56, 942-DNA-74, 942-DNA-112 and 942-DNA-113 were shot by OGDCL and 942-DNA-68 was shot by Mari. The seismic lines are dip and strike lines. Four reflectors namely Chorgali, Sakesar, Hangu and Khewra Sandstone formations were marked on the seismic section on the basis of depth and velocity information of these formations. Time contour maps of the reflectors were produced using two way time of the reflectors. Average velocities were used to find the depths of the formations for the seismic section.Petrophysical analysis of Shahab-01 A indicates that the Chorgali Formation and Sakesar Formation have the potential zones in it but the Chorgali Formation has more potential than the Sakesar Formation. en_US
