dc.description.abstract The basic objective of the study is to get preliminary understanding of the subsurface structural trend and stratigraphy of the cited area. Seismic data interpretation eventually resulted in outcomes as time and depth contour maps. Bahawalpur area is a part of the Middle Indus Basin of Pakistan. It is a broad monocline tectonically dipping gently towards the Sulaiman Depression. Punjab Platform is tectonically the least affected area because of its greater distance from the collision zone. There were no faults observed in the area and the saturation of hydrocarbons in the formations was not of economic value. en_US
