Abstract:
The research study carried out in the area ‘Sinjhoro’ lies in Sindh monocline
which is located in the Southern Indus basin, Pakistan at the Indo-Pakistan plate that
mainly comprises of Horst and Graben structures. The Study area is bounded in the east
by Indian Shield which merges into Kirthar and Karachi Trough and by Mari Bughti
inner folded zone in the north.
The scope of research work revolves around velocity modeling and attributes
analysis of the zones of interest through seismic studies by utilizing seismic data. The
Seismic data incorporated comprised of migrated sections of four dip lines 2001-SNJ-03,
2001-SNJ-14, 2001-SNJ-15, 2001-SNJ-16 and one strike line 2001-SNJ-24. Well tops
data of Hakeem Daho-01, Barhun-01 and Chak63-01 is used for the stratigraphic well
correlation in the study area.
