| dc.description.abstract | To delineate the structures and evaluate the reservoir potential using seismic lines and well data of Saba-01 in compressional regime is the primary purpose of this dissertation. The targeted formation for seismic interpretation is Chorgali, Lockhart, and Dandot while Petro physical analysis was done on Chorgali Formation and Sakesar Limestone. Time contour and depth contour of Chorgali, Lockhart, and Dandot are generated which proved the presence of thrusting and the marked faults which are the splays of Domeli fault. It was observed throughout the work that extreme type of thrusting are present in our study area which is the result of collision between Indian and Eurasian plate it was observed that high through is there which is the result of compression which thrusted strata upward . While petro physical analysis depict that substantial amount of porosity is present but lacking effective porosity the reason behind the dry well may be due to migration of hydrocarbons which may be result of thrusting which was unable to trap the hydrocarbons. | en_US |
