dc.description.abstract The research purpose is to map out the subsurface structure of an area and investigate the fluid properties through well logs to understand and identify hydrocarbonprone zones and justify the drilling locations. First, our obtained data was matched with the interpretation datum. Structural analysis is carried out by performing horizon interpretation, fault interpretation, and contour mapping on C-Interval of the Lower Goru Formation. The hydrocarbon bearing zones are interpreted using seismic sections and validated through Petrophysical analysis of all available wells. The study revealed normal faults forming a structure, horst and graben systems like negative flower structure, with fault orientations trending northwest to southeast. The contour map indicates the structural inclination and fault-bounded closures near the well locations. Fault seal analysis further confirmed that these faults provide suitable structural closure for hydrocarbon accumulation. Bright spots were identified at the C Interval of the Lower Goru Formation. Petrophysical analysis on available wells showed hydrocarbon saturation exceeding 55% within the C-Interval of the Lower Goru Member. Four potential reservoir zones areas were identified in Sawan-02 well and two zones in Sawan-07 well based on their integrated interpretation of seismic and well-log data. The results indicate that the area of interest possesses favorable reservoir characteristics, including good permeability, effective structural closure, and strong hydrocarbon potential en_US
