Unemployment and inefficient access to skilled workers are major socio-economic prob lems, especially in developing regions. Traditional recruitment procedures for blue-collar and skilled workers, including electricians, plumbers, carpenters, masons, and technicians, are largely informal, time-consuming, and unreliable. Employers face difficulties in finding verified and available workers, while skilled individuals struggle to secure regular employ ment. This disconnect leads to project delays, income instability, and reduced economic productivity. In order to address these challenges, the Jobs Bridge project focuses on developing a web-based platform that digitizes the process of connecting skilled workers with employers seeking reliable services. The system allows workers to create verified profiles highlighting their skills and experience, while employers can post job requirements, browse worker profiles, and directly hire suitable candidates. The platform supports role-based access for workers, employers, and administrators, ensuring secure authentication, worker verification, and efficient job management. Jobs Bridge also incorporates intelligent features such as job history tracking, a review and rating system, service price estimation, and multilingual support, including Urdu, to enhance usability and trust. In addition, training resources such as instructional videos are provided to help workers understand system usage, improving accessibility for users with limited technical expertise. By digitizing the skilled worker recruitment process, Jobs Bridge aims to improve hiring efficiency, promote fair employment opportunities, reduce reliance on informal networks, and support economic empowerment. The platform enhances communication transparency and establishes a reliable connection between skilled workers and employers, contributing to workforce development and sustainable employment growth. |
