Abstract:
Purpose- The major aim of this study is to evaluate the impact of leadership styles on the job satisfaction of employees. The leadership style includes Autocratic, Democratic, Consultative and Laissez-faire. As employees are the main source of any organization so it is necessary to research whether they are satisfied and content with their job or not.
Methodology/sample-The study is conducted through the use of questionnaires which were filled by 243 respondents, these respondents belonged to different banks with different age groups and experiences. To analyze the data Regression was used through the SPSS software from 5 different banks in Karachi to see the impact of leadership styles in their banks on the job satisfaction of their employees.
Findings-The results and analysis that came out after the research is, out of four leadership styles the Autocratic style does not have a positive impact on its employees as it have the directive traits in it. Other than that the other three styles have a positive impact on their employees.
Practical implications-The results that came out of this research might help the banking sector in Karachi to know that which style has a negative and which has a positive impact on their employees and which style is more suitable for them through which they feel satisfied and content.
