Abstract:
Students often face challenges when selecting Final Year Projects (FYPs) that align
with their skills, despite the availability of resources. This misalignment often leads
to inefficiencies in project planning, coordination, and the overall management
process, as students, supervisors, and coordinators struggle to synchronize
expectations and responsibilities. To address these issues, this project aims to
develop a Web-Based Final Year Project Management System that streamlines the
assignment, proposal submission, planning, task allocation, progress tracking, and
collaboration among students, supervisors, and coordinators. The system will
improve project visibility, enhance communication, and provide a structured
platform for managing project milestones, timekeeping, and document sharing.
Ultimately, this solution will support more efficient project execution, ensuring
better alignment between student skills and project requirements, while also
providing a foundation for future enhancements based on user feedback.
