Abstract:
Qadirpur occupies a favorable structural position on the Mari-Kandhkot High, developed on the Punjab Platform which is a gently westward dipping zone, flanking the Indian Shield. The objectives of this research are to determine the hydrocarbon potential and correlation of the Sui Main Limestone of the Eocene age by the help of Petrophysical analysis by using wireline logs. These units are of uniform thickness. Different Petrophysical parameters like Volume of shale, water saturation, porosity and hydrocarbon saturation etc. are taken into consideration for reservoir characterization. The value of hydrocarbon saturation in Sui Main limestone in well #11 is 35 %, in well # 14 is 36 %, and in well # 15 is 60 %, with volume of shale 13 %, 16 % and 18 % respectively. Similarly porosity of above mention wells is 17%, 14%, and 15% respectively in Qadirpur wells. Correlations of Qadirpur wells # 11, 14 and 15 consist of five zones which is mainly consist of Sui shale unit, Limestone and interbedded shale, clean Limestone etc. During petrophysical analysis it is conclude that Sui Main Limestone is excellent reservoir in Qadirpur Field with low volume of shale, good effective porosity and high hydrocarbon saturation.
