Abstract:
Aim of the study is to examine the impact of internal communication on project performance with mediating role of supply chain integration and trust as moderator, a case of shipbuilding industry of Pakistan. The study collected data on a sample of 229 from the population of project managers in ship building industry of Pakistan, to test the proposed hypotheses. Upon collection of data, data analysis technique of structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was applied and Smart PLS statistical software has been used to calculate the structural modelling equation results for the subject study. The results indicate that both Internal commination and collaborative supply chain Integration have a positive impact on project performance. Whereas, coordinative supply chain integration does not have a significant effect on project performance. Furthermore, collaborative supply chain integration partially mediates the relationship between internal communication and the project performance, however mediation of coordinative supply chain integration is not significant, whereas moderation of trust is also not significant. The research highlights the value of robust internal communication strategies and a culture of trust within the organization. Organizations can benefit from enhancing on collaborative supply chain integration practices.
