Abstract:
The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship of project governance, project innovation, project team resilience, and project success in the Public Sector Universities in Punjab Pakistan. The investigation of the relationships outlined by the hypotheses will illuminate factors that surround the outcomes of projects and the mechanisms that drive those factors. 356 responses were gathered through google questionnaire/survey form from Principal Investigators, Project Managers and project team members in the Public Sector Universities in the Punjab, the methodology applied to analyze the data in this study is the PLS–SEM technique in smart PLS.
The analysis showed positive links between Project Governance, Project Innovation, Project Success, and Project Team Resilience. Mediation analysis highlighted Project Team Resilience as a mediator between Governance/Innovation and Success. These insights underscore the significance of governance, innovation, and team resilience in driving project success. This dissertation contributes a novel integrated theoretical framework explicating the interplay of Project Governance, Project Innovation, Project Team Resilience, and Project Success within public sector universities in Punjab Pakistan.
With the emphasis on the critical role of Project Team Resilience as a crucial mediation, the study has several theoretical and practical implications within public sector universities in Punjab Pakistan. This study may contribute to project management by adding to theoretical implications of variables. The results of the study can also be used to create efficient project management plans that assist in controlling project risks, cost and quality of academic institutions prevalent with similar characteristics offering in developing countries such as Pakistan. Further this thesis provides valuable practical implications for stakeholders involved in project management within public sector universities and similar academic institutions.
