Abstract:
This research work examines the impact of low cost energy, belief in solar energy benefits, and enhanced energy supply describing economic, environmental and energy benefits respectively on customer satisfaction in scenario of small scale solar power projects serving in domestic sector of Pakistan. A sample of 342 responses gathered through an online survey was analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling technique on SmartPLS. These benefits have been empirically demonstrated to significantly contribute to customer satisfaction that complementarily, fully mediates their individual relationships with project success. Additionally, the study exhibits that the energy motivation of the consumers to become independent and self-sufficient in energy matters plays no role in moderating the relationship between enhanced energy supply and customer satisfaction. This research work propounds vital implications for the solar power projects stakeholders including consumers, professionals and policy makers for promotion of renewable energy technology, refinement of project management practices and restructuring of national energy landscape.
