| dc.description.abstract | Project success is the most crucial part of any project because many projects start but they are unable to complete on time and within budget. With the advancement of technology, big data analytics technique was coined. The project managers started using big data available in planning, decision making and overcoming the challenges of the projects to make them successful. Big data analytics is the fundamental base of this research. To achieve the objective of the study, a framework was developed in which big data analytics was a moderator between technical capabilities and project operational capabilities while project operational capabilities act as a mediator between technical capabilities and project success. The respondents of the survey were employees of construction organization in Punjab, Pakistan. SPSS was used to conduct the demographical analysis while SmartPLS 4 was used for the structural equation modelling and confirmatory factor analysis was done for hypotheses testing. Convergent and Discriminant Validity was used to establish the construct validity of the model. The results revealed that technical capabilities does have a positive effect on the project success. Project operational capabilities positively mediates the relationship between technical capabilities and project success. The big data analytics moderating the relationship between technical capabilities and project operational capabilities is not proven significant. The research was focused to see how big data analytics can bring improvement in the project success rate. Theoretically, BDA has been assigned the role of a moderator in relationship between TC and POC which is a new dimension of research whereas practically this research shows how BDA implementation can make construction projects successful. | en_US |
