Abstract:
This document outlines a comprehensive plan for the establishment of a Project
Management Office (PMO) within Banu Mukhtar Construction Project, Burj-1 Tower
Building, Gulberg-III, Lahore, aiming to elevate project management practices and
ensure alignment with strategic objectives. The implementation strategy is designed to
address identified gaps in project delivery and enhance overall efficiency.
The proposed PMO will serve as the nucleus for effective project management,
focusing on leadership, standardized processes, and strategic oversight. With defined
authority, including the enforcement of methodologies and standards, the PMO will
provide guidance, monitor project performance, and facilitate communication among
stakeholders. Key responsibilities encompass addressing cost overruns, reviewing
schedule challenges, monitoring scope creep, conducting training, and initiating
transparent procurement processes.
As the PMO evolves over a one-year period, transitioning from a supportive to a
directive role, the organization anticipates strengthened governance, streamlined
project lifecycle management, and enhanced communication. The phased approach,
post-implementation review, and ongoing adjustments underscore the commitment to
continuous improvement, ensuring that the PMO remains a dynamic force in driving
project success and organizational growth.
