Abstract:
Healthcare immunization projects in Pakistan play an important role in improving the life millions of people, especially children. Project teams had to face multiple challenges in order to achieve project targets. Achieving all planned targets in such projects are difficult due to internal and external challenges. The purpose of this study was to quantitatively investigate the relationship between different variables that could help us to increase our understanding about such projects. This research studied the impact of project communication on project success. In order to develop a more comprehensive understanding of project success, role of mediator and moderator were introduced. Work engagement was taken as mediator between relationship of project communication and project success, and perceived organizational support was taken as moderator between work engagement and project success. Data was collected from project employees of Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI), Punjab working in Gujranwala division. Structural equational modelling was be performed through SmartPLS 4. Result proved that project communication has a significant role in project success. The result also confirmed that work engagement can mediate relationship between of project communication and project success. However, result revealed that perceived organizational support weakens relationship between work engagement and project success. Beside adding literature, this study highlighted the role of work engagement in project.
