Abstract

This project intends to design a complete app-based University Recommendation System that will assist students in elucidating and simplifying various complex factors that their higher education entails by providing them with tailored recommendations. The platform acts as an all-inclusive portal wherein students have the freedom to view a rich list of universities together with relevant scholarship details, admission deadlines, and even triumphs of alumni for better motivational insights. The central functions of the system entails personalized tailoring of university recommendation suggestions to students’ academic, course preferences, and fiscal capabilities. With the aid of Artificial Intelligence powered recommendation systems employed by the platform, the system strives to fulfill the specific and multifaceted needs of the students. Also, the system provides the users with timely notification alerts for critical timeline milestones such as university admissions, deadline for scholarship applications, and other vital updates to maintain active participation among the students. The system enables constructive user participation through the specially designed rating system on the universities which guarantees optimal transparency in the decision making process. The learners are also offered the possibility of contact with their colleagues through community chatgroups which empower them to discuss and analyze a wide range of useful information regarding various universities.To increase the user experience, the platform adds a GPT-powered chatbot that instantly assists users with university selection, scholarship applications, and detailed admission requirements. The system also provides real-time data on the HEC recognition status of the universities, guaranteeing that the institutions being considered by students are accredited. The user authentication system and data storage command was set up on Firebase, ensuring user data is secure and allows personalized recommendations tailored to each student’s profile. The AI model improves over time by analyzing data and interactions, increasing accuracy and relevancy. The University Recommendation System is designed to offer students with educational resources during higher education planning; the platform is agile enough to easily incorporate a wide range of advancements, including more universities, scholarships, and supplementary features. The system especially targets underprivileged pupils who do not have easy access to guidance services and aim to transform how students make decisions regarding their higher education.
