A Study on Risk Management in Telecom Mobile Operators of Pakistan

Abstract

ABSTRACT During the last few decades, unwanted risk combined with better of poor risk management which had more impact on collaborative performance than higher strategy or outstanding implementation. Taking risk is a part of making progress in business. Although the result of key dilemma is often counted by prosperity but the impact is not. Risk Management has become a necessity in every firm for a successful project. Risk management in the modern world has been documented, studied, reviewed, and revised. Risk management has become a necessity for a project to complete successfully. Supply chain and finance are two major factors which needs to me monitored with reference from risk. Unfortunately, the standard risk management methodology is not properly followed in the real life of working in the developing world. Good Risk Management can help in reducing the impact of negative outcomes and help companies take advantage of positive ones. This report provides an overview on the study of risk management and its importance in success of any firm's project. Also, it will examine the current shortfalls, potential benefits, and approaches. There are many firms, like DESCON who uses Project management and its methodology for accomplishing projects successfully. Risk management should be applied and followed properly in any firm which can prove an efficient tool for controlling and mitigating the risks and which can minimize the impact of risk if it happens. The telecom operators are the fast growing companies in Pakistan. These companies face a lot of risk regarding the suppliers and the finance. These are the main factors studied in this thesis. The risk in these factors and the relationship between those factors which have positive and which factors have negative correlation with each other. The methodology is followed by the questionnaires provided to few of the companies for their responses about the risk management and the risks in finance and supply chain area which is tested by the SPSS tool. The Results can provide awareness regarding risk management and risk mitigation in finance and supply chain sector for any mobile operator company who wants to minimize their risks and relationship between different factors of supply chain and finance.
