Abstract:
This project offers a detailed restructuring plan for the Pakistan Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (PCSIR), seeking to change its current supply chain to a green, digital and profitable one. It is designed to solve key problems faced by the company, like market disconnection, incorrect management of inventory, little application of research and insufficient transparency. PCSIR would set up a new subsidiary company that would function adaptably, wisely and focus on the market. Product Conversion and Delivery will act as a link between the research centers and the shoppers, overseeing the purchase, storage, branding, partnering with retailers and transportation to end-users. Picking tools such as ERPNext, Zoho Inventory, Asana and Power BI, the subsidiary will manage operations in a cost-effective way and use them for tracking, data visualization and improving processes on the spot. Sustainability in the environment is supported by the project with solar dryers, packaging made from natural and bio-degradable materials and efforts to cut waste. It keeps track of green supply chain success by watching through Power BI dashboards. With these changes, PCSIR no longer focuses only on research; it becomes more responsive to changing markets, environmentally responsible and tech savvy. It helps PCSIR make reliable revenue, grow in the market and carry out its mission of promotion science-based industrial growth in Pakistan.
