| dc.description.abstract | In this study, our objective was to elucidate the subsurface geology of the Kamiyab area using advanced seismic interpretation techniques and petrophysical methods to estimate hydrocarbon saturation and evaluate reserves. We successfully identified two prominent horizons on the seismic section, termed the --- and ----, which are of --- age and were observed in the Kamiab-01 well. These formations were identified as the primary targets for potential reservoirs. Additionally, the seismic data revealed the presence of normal--/-- faults affecting the region. Our petrophysical analysis concentrated on the -- Formation, where we detected three distinct hydrocarbon-bearing zones based on log trends. The average characteristics of these zones included ---% for the volume of shale, - --% for hydrocarbon saturation, and ---% for effective porosity. Furthermore, volumetric reserve estimations for the ---- Formation suggested a substantial presence of hydrocarbons, highlighting a significant hydrocarbon resource in the area. This integrated approach, combining detailed seismic interpretation with comprehensive petrophysical analysis, provided valuable insights into the hydrocarbon potential and reserves of the Kamiyab region. | en_US |
