Abstract:
This study extends the literature by investigating the role of Green Human Resource Management Practices (Green Recruitment and Selection, Green Training and Development, Green performance Appraisal and Reward System) on the Pro-Environmental Behavior and analyzing the mediating effect of environmental awareness between green HRM practices and pro-environmental behaviors. The data has been collected from 350 employees working in the 4–5-star hotels of Islamabad/ Rawalpindi. The result of this study demonstrates that green human resource management practices positively affect the pro-environmental behavior of the hotel employees and environmental awareness also significantly impacts the relationship between green HRM practices and pro-environmental behaviors. This paper provides directions for future research as well as recommends practical implication of green HRM practices and environmental awareness among 3–5-star hotels.
