| dc.description.abstract | A new wave of competitive business environments has taken over contemporary organizations such as the telecommunication sector of Pakistan. Although regarded as the most dynamic sector of Pakistan, it is still susceptible to intense business competition. The dynamic nature of the modern business environment has forced organizations to strive for productivity and positive work culture, which can be fostered by motivating employees to show superfluous enactment towards their organizations, i.e., exhibiting organizational citizenship behavior (OCB). However, traditional job designs and employee engagement practices often fail to address these diverse needs; HR departments have greatly emphasized promoting job crafting and mindfulness. The proactive actions of modifying jobs and being aware of the situations promotes fulfillment, contempt & satisfaction, ultimately impelling prosocial behaviors like OCB. Therefore, this study aims to determine the impact of job crafting and mindfulness on OCB and the mediating effect of job satisfaction in the telecommunication sector of Pakistan's twin cities through a quantitative research method. Primary data was collected with the help of an adopted structured questionnaire for analysis. The data analysis showed that job crafting and mindfulness positively impact OCB, and job satisfaction positively mediates the relationship between job crafting and mindfulness on OCB. The research had a few limitations, such as limited time, sample and resources; however, to foster more comprehensive results, it is recommended to increase the sample size, include diverse backgrounds, explore other cities within Pakistan, conduct comparative studies with other sectors and industries and explore other variables mediating the above impact. | en_US |
