Abstract:
Agriculture is a critical sector for global economies, especially in countries like Pakistan, where it serves as a backbone for livelihoods and food production. However, modern agriculture faces significant challenges, such as climate change, water scarcity, inefficient resource management, and the lack of technological integration. The GROWGREEN project aims to address these issues by developing a mobile-based application that leverages artificial intelligence (AI) and data analytics to enhance agricultural productivity and sustainability. The application serves various stakeholders, including home-growers, farmers, managers, and employees, offering features such as crop monitoring, soil health assessment, weather forecasting, inventory management, financial tracking, and task management. The system architecture is designed to be modular, ensuring scalability and flexibility, with a cloud- based backend that processes data and delivers real-time insights to users. External data sources, including weather services and market platforms, are integrated into the system to provide predictive analytics and optimize decision-making. Key datasets sourced from Kaggle enrich the application’s AI models, offering accurate predictions for crop yield, soil conditions, and market trends. Through GROWGREEN, users can make data-driven decisions that improve efficiency, reduce waste, and promote sustainable farming practices. The system also addresses challenges such as fragmented market access by providing direct integration with market platforms, allowing farmers to sell their produce efficiently. Ultimately, GROWGREEN empowers users with the tools needed to navigate the complexities of modern agriculture, fostering economic resilience and sustainability
