dc.description.abstract The present investigates the relationship between dark tetrad job performance among nurses while emphasizing mediating effect of moral disengagement and moderating effect of emotional intelligence. The study sample of 306 nurses was collected through purposive convenient sampling. Cross sectional study was conducted by using standardized scales which includes the Short Dark Tetrad Scale (SD-4), Nurses Moral Disengagement Scale, Brief Emotional intelligence scale (BEIS-10), and Individual Work Performance Questionnaire (IWPQ). Analysis were conducted by using SPSS version 27. Results showed study dark tetrad traits and job performance are significantly correlated. Mediation analysis revealed that moral disengagement function as significant mediator between dark tetrad traits (machiavellianism, narcissism, psychopathy, and sadism) and job performance dimensions (task performance, contextual performance, and counterproductive work behavior). Moderation analysis indicates that emotional intelligence significantly moderates only two relationships: those between narcissism and counterproductive work behavior, as well as between sadism and counterproductive work behavior. These findings offer insight into the importance of addressing impact of personality factors on job performance of nurses and promoting organizational behaviors among them. en_US
