Abstract

Islam has five pillars that is essential for every Muslim to practise. One of them is "Hajj". Hajj, the journey to Makkah, is the fifth pillar and the most noteworthy indication of Islamic confidence and solidarity in the world. For those Muslims who are physically and monetarily ready to make the excursion to Makkah, the Hajj is an ideal obligation that is the pinnacle of their religious life. The Hajj is a surprising profound social occasion of more than two million Muslims from everywhere throughout the world to the sacred city. In performing out the Hajj, a pilgrim follows the step of our Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) which he performed during his last journey. Every year lots of pilgrims perform Hajj/Umrah where they face many difficulties in performing Hajj/Umrah according to the guidance we found in Quran and Sunnali. Another important fact is to select appropriate travelling packages according to the budget a pilgrim have. To find these appropriate packages pilgrims have to visit many travel agencies in order to find suitable package. Therefore, there was a need of a platform where pilgrims find step by step guidance of rituals with authentic references moreover where they can find information about the packages. Therefore, Hajj Mentor that is an android based application comes up with solution and this would be beneficial for the pilgrims in making the proper or reliable choice on the basis of different packages information available on a single platform and also this application will give assistance to pilgrims in performing Hajj/Umrah with ease specially for those who are going to perform it for the first time and in a mannered way.
