Abstract:
The following research project is related to highlighting the legal issues in regard to surrogacy in
Pakistan, it is more focused and related to its importance and need of the time in the modern world.
The change that has brought by science and technology in the world is something that cannot be
denied and is benefitting the man kind in all possible ways. The research paper throws light on the
legal perspectives and the concept of surrogacy to be explained in the light of Islamic Law. The
research paper aims to highlight the existing rules and regulations in this regard along with the
loopholes and a need for more legislation. Surrogacy is a procedure in which a surrogate (woman)
agrees to carry a child for a couple, it is often in return of a consideration. The concept of surrogacy
has positive and negative impacts along with the fact that this phenomena has created the issues in
society related to the psychological, social, medical and legal perspective. The research paper will
throw light on the concept of surrogacy in general, the importance and need of the phenomena in
Pakistan, the comparison of legal framework available on the matter with the rest of the world.
The research will analyze the laws of surrogacy in Pakistan and its acceptance by the society.
