dc.description.abstract This study describes the concept of issues of Cybercrimes and their legislation in Pakistan specially PECA, 2016 that how PECA is violating freedom of expression which Constitution give guarantee and its effects on common and poor people. While the world is advancing towards latest technology and new legislations for prevention of Cybercrimes, Pakistan is not an exception. Pakistan has adopted Prevention of Electronic Crimes the Act regarding Cybercrimes in 2016 to manage, minimize or control Cybercrimes, but the said Act is not free from challenges, in particularly causing threat to right of freedom of expression in digital world in Pakistan. This, in turn, requires certain amendments or changes in the Act to adequately address this issue, taking lessons from its UK counterpart. This research focus is also to compare and analyses Pakistan cyber laws with other countries especially with UK. The objectives of this thesis are also to examine the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act, 2016 in detail, discussing its significance, identifying its problems, and finally suggesting recommendations to make it more effective. en_US
