InnoVision

Abstract

“InnoVision” is a simple solution to the problems faced by the visually impaired population of the world. The biggest obstacles faced by the visually impaired are in detecting faces and in reading text. “InnoVision” is a smart mobile application which caters towards the needs of people who have low vision or are even fully blind. The mobile application has five key features which help fulfill the needs of the visually impaired. The scene description feature helps with analyzing the environment, optical character navigation feature is used for text reading, the voice command feature allows for a hands-free and hassle-free experience for the users, face recognition feature allows user to recognize their loved ones, barcode scanning feature empowers users by enabling them to independently access and identify essential information with ease and the text to speech feature is used to make the application more interactive. The existing solutions in the market do not provide all five features provided by “InnoVision” with a simple and an easy-to-use interface.
