dc.description.abstract | This study investigates the origins and socioeconomic effects of Pakistan's overpopulation, which has reached 240 million people at a 2% annual growth rate. The study looks at how population expansion affects infrastructure, public services, and resources. The outcomes point out the significant concerns encompassing poverty, insufficient healthcare, educational barriers, and degradation of the environment intensified by overpopulation. This study assesses the efficacy of existing policies and identifies shortcomings in their implementation, attributed to socio-cultural obstacles and inadequate governance. The recommendations emphasize the enhancement of family planning initiatives, the strengthening of governance frameworks, and the promotion of public awareness to sustainably tackle overpopulation and its extensive consequences | en_US |
