dc.description.abstract | In today’s interconnected world, effective communication across language barriers is essential in both personal and professional contexts. "GlobalTalk" is an innovative chat application designed to address these communication challenges by enabling users to converse in their preferred languages, with automatic translation for the recipient. Unlike existing solutions, GlobalTalk goes beyond text translation to include voice notes, preserving the richness and nuances of communication. GlobalTalk aims to overcome the limitations of current technologies, such as Google Translate and Microsoft Translator, which offer real-time text translation but often fail to capture context and subtleties. It also addresses the shortcomings of language exchange apps like HelloTalk and Tandem, which focus on text-based communication, thus hindering fluency and spontaneity. Additionally, it provides a more flexible and affordable alternative to video conferencing apps like Zoom or Skype, which offer real-time interpretation but require pre-booked interpreters. By integrating real-time text and voice translation, GlobalTalk ensures seamless and spontaneous multilingual interactions, maintaining the context and nuances essential for meaningful conversations. This comprehensive solution promotes fluency and spontaneity, making GlobalTalk a valuable tool for global communication. | en_US |
