Abstract:
This paper examines the impact of the Open Innovation with factors External Technology Acquisition, External Technology Exploration, and Social Media Technology Scouting on Entrepreneurial Activities in the tech-emerging market of Pakistan. Employing a quantitative research design, information was obtained through structured questionnaires from 200 technology enterprises and innovation managers. The studies show positive correlations between Open Innovation practices such as the use of external knowledge and technology and Entrepreneurial Activities. Such factors were also determined to influence these relationships to enhance the impact of Open Innovation practices. Specifically, using the quantitative data to perform regression analysis and the perception of the targeted entrepreneurs, this study showed that the integration of external technologies supports the means of entrepreneurial ventures. The work advances knowledge on Open Innovation and entrepreneurs in limited contexts and provides tips on improving innovative webs. Some of the thinking points that arise include Technology preparedness policies, and innovation-friendly policies. The study mentions the limitations of this research, including cross-sectional, and Pakistan technology sector-specific approach, and the directions for future research, including longitudinal and cross-sector research. In general, all the research points to the need for open innovation to help support and encourage entrepreneurial activities.
