dc.description.abstract | This empirical study examines changes in Pakistan's macroeconomic policy and its impact on Chinese worker real income in Pakistan; the time frame taken by this study is between the years 2018 to 2023. By focusing on main variables relating to inflation, variation in currency exchange rates, and adjustment and changes in personal income tax to analyze interaction effects, thereby comprehensively carrying out multi-angle research. The paper adopts a mixed-method approach to study annual income data collected through structured questionnaires from Chinese workers employed in three major cities, namely Islamabad, Karachi, and Lahore. In-depth analysis is enhanced by focusing on a representative company for case study purposes, with salary data provided in detail for comparison in a longitudinal manner. These results seek to bring out the trend of change in real income and provide sufficient usable information for policymakers and businesses on how to confront economic challenges faced by expatriates in developing economies such as Pakistan. | en_US |
