dc.description.abstract The research focuses on analyzing the supply chain challenges and opportunities in Pakistan's textile sector, using Gul Ahmed Textile Mills Ltd. as a case study. The textile industry, a major economic pillar for Pakistan, faces significant issues such as logistical inefficiencies, raw material shortages, energy crises, and inadequate adoption of modern supply chain technologies. This study explores the sustainability dimension, emphasizing green practices like energy efficiency, waste reduction, and water conservation, and their impact on operational performance. Barriers such as financial constraints, lack of awareness, and fragmented supply chains are highlighted, reflecting broader issues in Pakistan’s textile industry. The findings underline the positive correlation between sustainable practices and enhanced supply chain performance. Recommendations include leveraging technology, fostering supplier partnerships, and adopting green logistics to bolster efficiency and global competitiveness. This research contributes to the discourse on sustainable supply chain management (SSCM) and provides actionable insights for the textile sector's strategic advancements in Pakistan. en_US
