Abstract:
This study aims to investigate the impact of Green Supply Chain Management (GSCM) practices on operational performance, with technological innovation serving as a mediating variable. The research evaluates hypotheses suggesting a strong correlation between operational performance, technological innovation, and GSCM practices. By conducting this study, the objective is to enhance the understanding of how GSCM techniques and technological innovation contribute to improving the operational performance of Gohar Textile Mills Limited. Methodology & Design This study adopts a cross-sectional research design and a quantitative research methodology. The research design facilitates data collection at a specific point in time, providing an overview of the correlations between variables. The population consists of Gohar Textile Mills Limited in Faislabad, Pakistan, with a sample size of approximately 388 respondents selected using convenience sampling. This technique involves selecting participants based on their availability and willingness to participate. Data is collected through a structured questionnaire survey, incorporating closed-ended and Likert scale items to obtain quantitative responses. By employing a quantitative approach and a cross-sectional design, numerical data is analyzed to examine the correlation between GSCM practices—such as Green Manufacturing, Green Purchasing, and Green Packaging—and operational performance, using Smart PLS software. Additionally, Technological Innovation (TI) is considered a mediating factor in the relationship between GSCM practices and Operational Performance (OP). The findings aim to clarify the impact of GSCM practices at Gohar Textile Mills Limited on operational performance while accounting for technological innovation as a mediator.
