dc.description.abstract | This project focuses on the development of an Employee Portal using Oracle APEX to streamline Human Resource (HR) processes for businesses, particularly small to medium-sized enterprises. Traditional HR management systems, especially those integrated into leading Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions, are often prohibitively expensive and inflexible, limiting their accessibility to organizations with constrained budgets. This project addresses these challenges by delivering a cost-effective and scalable HR solution that can integrate with ERP systems if required, though integration is not a part of the current implementation. The development methodology involves a systematic approach, starting with a detailed requirement analysis to understand organizational needs and user expectations. Using Oracle APEX, the project focuses on creating a user-friendly and secure platform with robust functionalities such as Employee Information Management, Time and Attendance, Leave Management, Salary Slip Generation, and Tax Certificate Issuance. Extensive testing has been conducted to ensure the portal's reliability, functionality, and security. The Employee Portal centralizes critical HR functions, enhancing operational efficiency and employee satisfaction while minimizing costs. This study demonstrates the potential of Oracle APEX as a versatile development platform and concludes with recommendations for further customization and integration capabilities to address evolving organizational requirements. | en_US |
