dc.description.abstract In the educational sector of Pakistan's twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi, this study examines how Green Human Resource Management (GHRM) practices affect environmental performance through the mediation of environmental knowledge and Corporate Social Sustainability Responsibility (CSSR). Utilizing a quantitative approach, a structured questionnaire was administered to faculty and administrative staff across leading universities, with a sample size of 200 participants determined by Morgan and Krejcie's formula and data analyzed using SPSS. The findings reveal that specific GHRM practices, such as green recruitment and training, significantly enhance environmental performance. Environmental knowledge and CSSR not only mediate this relationship but also facilitate the translation of GHRM initiatives into practical sustainable actions, leading to marked improvements in environmental performance. This research highlights the role of GHRM. en_US
