dc.description.abstract Regardless of the way that essentially elevators will be not controlled by PLC, still we utilized it, on the grounds that lift will be a fitting framework where we can investigate a part of gimmicks of the PLC. The goal of a PLC based Elevator Control System is to coordinate the programmable logic controller (PLC) with lift for creating its control framework. Therefore, the undertaking underlines on the application of programmable rationale controller for lift control framework. The programming language used is ladder diagram. Our model of elevator control system consist of four floors. Above the fourth floor there is motor and pulley section where pulley is mechanically coupled or connected with the power window motor. The upward and downward direction of Cabin is controlled by pulleys. There are four Limit Switches on four floors which is used to identify the current position of elevator. There are four seven segments on every floor which displays the actual position of elevator on all floors. Every floor has a push button to call the elevator. There is also a control panel for elevator cabin. An ultra sonic sensor is placed at the first floor which will automatically detect any person and calls the elevator cabin to first floor without calling the elevator cabin manually by pressing the push button. The elevator will not work on the rule that first in first out, the programming is so efficient that it will compare the requests and serve the nearest floor first which will save both time and power. This project is an attempt to design and implement PLC based elevator control system and its study and then designed based project. The aim of this project is to maintain the working condition of the elevator control system under the variation of heat, vibration, temperature and pressure. en_US
