dc.description.abstract In today's world human is becoming more and more dependent on machines. So no one wants to be depending on a machine which is not intelligent and efficient. On the other hand people are inattentive when switching off appliances that are no longer in use. By the time they remember that the appliance has not been switched off, the switch may be too far away, out of immediate reach. So the idea comes from ease to reliability of the machine here we need a Building Management System (BMS). With BMS appliances can be switched on/off without physically switching them on/off by their switches or we can monitor different activities without being there actually. We have developed a control panel that can be controlled by either the internet (TCP/IP) facility or through your cell phone (GSM), System is capable of handling both at the same time. The BMS is made of a Microchip Microcontroller PIC18F452 16-bit with 10-bit A/D converter connected with a virtual server made using Visual Studio, GSM Module SIM900 and software program made on visual studio using C# and HTML. This report deliberates on the testing of components that make up the system, together with problems occurred and techniques to solve the problems. The demonstrations are made using AC devices to show the topmost performance of the system in daily life environment and sensors are used to show multiple applications of the system that it can perform. en_US
