dc.description.abstract In today’s world, there is massive improvement in speech recognition technology and wireless communications. Such improvement is helping home automation sector to grow rapidly. In many Countries many medical patients (paraplegic patients) and disabled feel their life easier by using speech based home automation. In the same way our project is based on efficient speech recognition home automation using latest technology. In our project there will be 2 stations. One will be base station and other will Remote station. In base station that will be a mobile device, there will be HM2007 a well-known speech recognition kit used among projects that will be connected to a microcontroller. At the other end of microcontroller there will be RF module ZigBee used to make wireless communication. The second station in our project so called Remote station will be consisting of ZigBee by which wireless communication is made between base station and remote station. It will be connected to microcontroller. One end of Microcontroller will be connected to different appliances and the other end will be connected to Raspberry Pi for playing sound according to the speech. The project is tested in several conditions. Noise conditions, different accent of different people and silent conditions, also it has been tested after a certain time periods. Many results are obtained among different conditions. Hence positive percentage of project success is observed. To conclude, the present and the future are based on artificial intelligence technology. Developing a speech recognition project to operate home appliances with the help of latest technologies is not only fulfilling objectives of artificial intelligence, also providing an efficient solution for patients and old people. en_US
