dc.description.abstract | Structural analysis has been done using the 2D seismic data of Kabirwala area, central Indus Basin Pakistan. Bahria University and Directorate General of Petroleum Concession (DGPC) provided 2D seismic reflection data of well Nandpur-02 that was required for conducting this research. The Kabirwala area lies in the Punjab platform, Central Indus Basin, which is bounded by Sulaiman Depression on the east, Sargodha High on north and Jaccobabad high in the south. The Punjab Platform dips westwards towards into the Sulaiman Fore Deep. Present study area is Nandpur 02 Gas field which is situated at a distance of 64 kms near District Multan. The field was discovered in 1983 by OGDCL. For structural enhancement, four seismic migrated lines i.e. 885-KBR-264, 836-KBR-01, 875-KBR-208, 864-KBR-125 and 875-KBR-209 were used. Time and Depth contour maps of the three horizons, Ranikot, Samana Suk and DattaFormation were generated that identifies two normal faults F1 and F2 respectively, and the structure of the area is monocline. | en_US |
