| dc.description.abstract | To develop an understanding of the structural analysis and correlation of seismic data that was re-interpreted with the well data understandable for the confirmation of seismic structural interpretation of Dehdhambar area, Upper Indus Basin. 2D seismic reflection data that was required for our research was provided by the Directorate General of Petroleum Concession (DGPC). 2D seismic interpretation on the area of Dehdhambar area reveals that the area lies under compressional regime but there is no faulting and structural traps present in the area which may provide a suitable horizon for hydrocarbons to accumulate. The area of Dehdhambar lies to the north of Potwar Sub-basin, Upper Indus basin, Pakistan. Regional tectonics of the area indicates severe deformation caused by compressional forces Structural analysis revealed the no sign of deformation in the study area. Two horizons have been marked, Chorgali of Eocene age and Datta of early Triassic age. 2D seismic interpretation is carried out manually on the study area and Time & Depth contours are generated. | en_US |
