2-D Seismic interpretation of Dhulian Area

Abstract

Migrated seismic lines PDK-102, PDK-105, PDK-112, PDK114 of Dhulian Block were obtained from Directorate General of Petroleum Concession (DGPC) for seismic interpretation. Two seismic lines are oriented W-E and two seismic lines were oriented N-S. The information we required was given within the time section, which was helpful in the conversion of the time section into depth section. These calculations helped in subsurface interpretation of the area, which was the basic purpose of this project. Two reflectors were marked with Chorgali Formation and Intra-Muree. Faults were marked and then time contour maps were generated. After that time sections were converted into depth sections and finally depth contour maps were generated, this helped to know the basic mechanism of the tectonic structure in the area.
