dc.description.abstract This dissertation is based on the 30-fold 2D-seismic reflection data. The data is acquired from the area THATTA (Sindh), of Pakistan and provided by the LMK Resources by the permission of Directorate General Of Petroleum Concession (DGPC). The seismic sections having line numbers AS87-122, ASP88-241, ASP88-258, ASP88-260 and AS87-124, which are extending from west to east, were acquired between May 1987 and April 1988. Root mean square and interval velocities are also computed during processing are also provide with the seismic section at selected CDP'S and are used for the calculation of average velocities to convert the given time into depth. The seismic section is recorded for 5 sec of each. Three reflectors: R1, R2, R3 are marked due to their prominent reflection on the seismic section. The depth of each reflector is found by using velocity and one-way travel time. Velocity trend along individual lines as well as on regional scale have been observed. Normal faulting exists in the area and associated Horst and Graben structures are observed along with Flower Structures and step faults. en_US
