Abstract:
Vertical electrical measurements were carried out in Islamabad area using Schlumberger configuration, keeping maximum electrode separation AB/2= 160m. In all 15 resistivity stations were established randomly. The resistivity data collected from the site was interpreted qualitatively and quantitatively. This interpretation involves the preparation of iso-resistivity maps, geological sections, vertical columns and geoelectrical parameters. These interpretations supplemented with the surrounding geology, lead towards to find the thickness of the aquifer in the project area.
